Indo Aerospace Seminar

The implementation of an International Business Forum with the theme of Continuing Civil Aviation in Indonesia is motivated by the rapid growth of the civil aviation industry in Indonesia in recent years, this provides a great opportunity for industry players related to domestic and foreign flights.

Indonesia with a population of 250 million and comprising 16,000 islands is the largest market for the aviation industry in Southeast Asia. With an average passenger growth of 12 percent per year; estimated in 2018, the number of air transport passengers will reach 140 million passengers.

However, the rapid development of the number of passengers must be balanced with increased airport infrastructure, such as additional runway capacity, taxiways, aprons, and modernization of aviation navigation systems to the construction of new airports. While from the aspect of aviation safety and security, the aviation industry players are expected to be able to maintain the fulfillment of international standards achieved in August 2016 and ICAO audits in 2017. In addition, it is also necessary to increase the capacity and capability of aviation support industries such as pilots, mechanics, ATC, MRO, and spare parts manufacturing industries.
