Three Airports Development Project to Complete This Year


JAKARTA— At least three international airports development in eastern Indonesia is targeted to complete this year to boost capacity.

PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I Commisioner, Suratto Siswodihardjo said the airports are Sepinggan in Balikpapan, Juanda in Surabaya, and Ngurah Rai in Denpasar.

According to him, the airports become the Company’s priority development throughout this year.

Ngurah Rai airport is expanded and enhanced its support facility along with Sepinggan airports, while Juanda’s terminal 2 is being built to increase capacity.

Indonesia has to build a new airport


JAKARTA--International Civil Aviation Organization sees Indonesian aviation industry has shown significant progress, but the organization suggests the Government to build a new airport and improve flight safety.

General Secretary of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Raymond Benjamin said it has conducted a survey on the development of the aviation industry in the country.

GMF AEROASIA: Proyek Hangar IV Dimulai 30 Januari


JAKARTA—PT GMF AeroAsia, anak usaha PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk yang bergerak melayani perawatan pesawat, akan melakukan ground breaking pembangunan hangar keempat senilai US$40 juta atau Rp386 miliar pada 30 Januari 2013.

Direktur Utama PT GMF AeroAsia Richard Budihadianto mengatakan pembangunan hanggar keempat akan dimulai dengan ground breaking (pemancangan tiang pertama) di areal hanggar yang akan dibangun yakni di kawasan Bandara Soekarno-Hatta, Cengkareng, Tangerang.
